Category Description: This category awards the best Female Artist of the Year. This artist may be  Rap, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Gospel or other contemporary type performer. Artist must have release(s) during the period beginning July 15th of 2010 and ending July 15th of 2011. Release may be in form of mixtape, single or CD.

	XO started recording with the group E.T.P . XO was forced to leave home at 19. Richard "MOD" Traylor had a rap group he was pushing from Palestine, Texas called "The Texas Hotboys". One member from the group "Al-b" became an instant fan of XO's. Al-b believed that XO could be the next big female artist. They started their own label, MIM Entertainment (Music Is Me) Al-b handled the marketing and promo and XO made the music. They found success with XO's first single "Club Hoppa." Her and Al-b both believe the sky is the limit for MIM Entertainment.
	Stori writes her own lyrics and she uses multiple producers so that she can keep a fresh sound.  Stori has performed at several events, including: Black History Celebration 2010, Adams, Brick House, TruNiverse, MoBiz (Greenville, MS), Lava House Spring Bling, Topcat Live Presents, Greenwood Talent Search, Mingles, Brooklyns, Boomtown Casino White Party, Club Extreme (Gilmer, TX) and the R.A.P Conference in Bastrop, LA.
